Charles, the owner of Proficiat is a very bad instructor. He will shout at you and will not listen to you or your questions. If you make any mistake, he will bang his fist severally on the dashboard and will shout at you and also use curse words at the same time. He also does not listen to you or answer any question you may have. He just grumples on. He takes no feedback on how he can help you better. It is his way or the high way. He is a very insultive grumpy old man. His shouts often throw me off and am making mistakes the next second which makes his shouts and bangings more. He may spend 10 minutes complaining and saying you possed him off. Try to explain, he will shut you up. He often comes at least 15 mins before the agreed time. If you are not ready by that time, 15 mins will be off your time. If you tell him you came at the agreed time, he will tell you, you should know he always comes 15 mins before so your own planning of the time doesn’t matter. He can also change the time as he wills. His company says you must call them at least 48 hours before to make changes or cancellations. That doesn’t apply to him. He can change the time at less than 24 hours, and you have to change your own schedule to fit into it. Worst is your driving route and companion in the car. Your routes are mainly through the 50km/hr or 30km/hr zones because once he picks you, he is giving you directions to where you are going to pick another person who will then be your companion for at least the last 25 minutes of your driving. That person will likely be the one to drive you home. At the end of the day, you will miss practicing at the main areas CBR will examine you at. I failed my exam with him because I didn’t drive well on the highway. Charles took me to this place only 3 times out of my lessons with him. And those 3 times are on 3 seperate days. He would bang his fist on the dashboard saying I didn’t do it well and when I ask him to let me do it again so I will get it, he will say no, let’s go, another time. I told him I wasn’t confident about doing it myself at the exam, but he didn’t listen. He is just a grumpy old man with a lot of temper. I wish I didn’t waste my money on him. Such a waste. If I can give a zero rating I will give.

Mijn zoon is in een keer geslaagd voor scooterrij-examen maar instructeur was zeer autoritair, gaf voortdurend negatief commentaar, vaak met stemverheffing. Soort legercommandant. Ik was verbaasd toen ik een klein stukje meemaakte bij het begin van de les. Ik denk met de goede bedoelingen en misschien werkt het bij bepaalde jonge mensen maar het versterkt voornamelijk juist de onzekerheid die je misschien al een beetje hebt als je moet afrijden. Dus afgereden ondanks ipv dankzij. Beetje meer positief coachen zou niet misstaan. Hopelijk is deze instructeur een negatieve uitzondering.
